Super Easy Low Sodium Apple Foldovers

These are so easy to make, they can put together on even the earliest mornings. It uses a pre-made puff pastry sheet and apple pie filling.


Is it cheating? Probably. But the loso life doesn't often lend itself to convenience foods. So this is as close as it gets.


Anyways, its about 145mg per turnover.


Ingredients

  • Premade puff pastry sheets. I used Pepperidge Farm Puff Pasty Sheets

  • 1 can canned apple pie filling, diced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F

  2. Cut each pastry sheet into 6 pieces.

  3. Fill one side with filling. I like to place it in a corner to get the triangle shape.

  4. Foldover and use fork to crimp and seal the edges.

  5. Bake 15-20 minutes, until golden brown


I make a simple frosting. I take 1/4 cup powdered sugar and enough water to create a drippable drizzle. It doesn't take much, so go slow. Enjoy!
