Mom's Favorite Sodium Free Onion Soup Mix

Today we celebrate the amazing moms of the world. And my mom definitely is amazing!

She has been an anchor in my support team, a cheerleader in my endeavors and a willing taste tester for this blog. She's all that and so much more. So it is only fitting that today I share a recipe my mom shared with me at the beginning of my loso journey.

Use this as the base for a pot roast, mixed with sour cream for a chip dip, or liberally sprinkled over steamed veggies for a pop of flavor. I've used it as the seasoning base for meatloaf, stroganoff, added to beef broth for soup and even bread. I always make sure to have a jar on hand.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons dried onion flakes

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ⅓ teaspoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley

  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper

Mix in a jar, shake and sprinkle liberally on everything
